(2012, 4 July) The Tanks are not a military exhibition during the Games, but are a new space in TATE Modern. Perhaps one of the most edgy exhibitions the TATE has ever presented. It’s a great experience of dark rooms, noise, light and sound. Free to enter, no ticket required and another part of the London 2012 Festival. You won’t be blamed for wondering how this connects with the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, but the strap line for the 2012 Festival is to create experiences that are completely new and, in so doing, go beyond what others have presented before. In this respect, it appeals to similar values of the sports, but regardless of this stretch of a motif for festival, there is simply some great art to see and this is no exception.
